Resurrection Life

You wrote Your glorious name across the heavens and it read
Elohim – The Creator

You pronounced Your holy name to Your people and it was
Yahweh – Lord of Relationship

You posted Your powerful name at life’s valleys and dead-ends and it was
El Shaddai – All Sufficient God

You spoke Your lovely name into fears and conflicts and it was
Yahweh Shalom – The Lord Our Peace

You whispered Your compassionate name into sorrow and brokenness and it was
Yahweh Yireh – The Lord Provides

You signed Your most beautiful name in blood upon our hearts and it was
Yeshua – Yahweh is Salvation

“Jesus said: I am the resurrection. Anyone who believes in me, even though that person dies, will live,
and whoever lives and believes in me will never die. Do you believe this?” John 11:25-26

Now, as a climax to our theme, the Holy Spirit directs our attention in the last chapter of the Bible to a breathtaking and vibrant truth: one day God’s name is to become our name! Just think of it. At this moment all the privileges of His name are ours—salvation, healing, cleansing, sanctification. But in eternity all these characteristics, instead of being available to us, will become an integral part of us because when we see God we shall be like Him (1 John 3:2). Then His virtue will become ours, His victory will become ours, His nature will become ours and, what is more, His Name will become ours.
