COMMITMENT Art Cellar is committed to promoting an understanding of and passion for the visual arts. A non-profit organization, it is a major contributor to the cultural richness of the Evangelical Church nationwide and the San Diego County community. Art Cellar organizes annual art walks/talks attracting numerous viewers. The purpose of this ministry is to bring a revived and renewed emphasis
to the arts in the area of worship. It is not to bring glory to the
artisan, but to bring glory to God, who as the Creator, created man in
His own image, with the ability to express and create. With these
God-given gifts, man is able to reflect the nature of God. PROMOTING THE ARTS Acting on its own or in cooperation with other local and regional non-profit organizations, Art Cellar engages in and encourages outreach programs and educational opportunities for children and adults. The Art Cellar actively promotes an appreciation of the visual arts. Over the years, Art Cellar has become a respected voice within the Christian church community seeking to establish visual arts as a means of worship in all evangelical churches. DIVERSITY OF ART Art Cellar takes pride in the diversity of its members and the range of art it offers viewers and collectors. GUIDED TOURS Pre-arranged private gallery tours are available to interested groups and organizations. GALLERY WALKS Evening gallery walks, held throughout the year, are eagerly anticipated events in the Christian church community and San Diego County community. These walks offer an opportunity for residents and visitors alike to stroll through the galleries and view newly installed exhibitions, often with artists in attendance.
